Insurgent Worlds
"Work in Progress"
This 2005/06 series of sculptures represents the mystical form of circles. These mystic circles are constructed with old circular saws and containing small sculptures in their centers.
You never see the teeth of circular saws when they are running at high speed. In this series the saws’ teeth, metamorphicaly, are looking calm and peaceful.
Resembling “Mandalas,” these objects relax your mind and allow you to look at your self in connection with your inner cosmos.
The interplay of the whole.
“Look at the world and reflect on today's speed, often, causes a sense of confusion and perplexity that becomes difficult untangles. The outer reflects the inner in an unhealthy way.(Mc Namus)”
These diametrical circular sculptures are in harmony with Hindu cosmology. The symbol of a dot, a “bindu” - signifies the spark of life within the cosmic womb.
So there is hope.
